Ngala Tented Camp, Ngala Private Game Reserve, Limpopo, South Africa

Ngala Tented Camp, situated in Ngala Private Game Reserve in Limpopo, is only three kilometres from Orpen Gate – one of the major gateways giving access to the world-famous Kruger National Park. There are no fences separating the game reserve and the park, and wild animals freely traverse these wilderness areas.

In keeping with CC Africa’s conservation ethos, Ngala Tented Camp was designed to minimise any negative impact on the environment. Surrounded by savanna bush, the six luxurious tents are built on raised platforms and nestle among indigenous trees.

Like its sister - Ngala Safari Lodge - Ngala Tented Camp relies on decor styling from other eras. Here retro pieces from the 1960s and 1970s have been used in contemporary ways.

Beautiful timber decks overlook the seasonal Timbavati River and during the dry season, this riverbed is the perfect stage for the camp’s unforgettable theatrical alfresco safari dinners. The lap pool, whose contours follow the shape of the riverbed, is an ideal spot from which to watch game visiting the river.

There is much to entertain guests at Ngala Tented Camp, including morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles and bush walks. Ngala has also designed several tailored safaris that give guests a deeper insight into the environment and wildlife.
